How Can You Be A Part?

Current Needs

As of February 2005 we  will have increased to 550 children and the staff will increased to 40.  Of those 550 children, 217 are under the sponsorship program and it is our prayer that the Lord may bring more sponsors.  The cost to cover education, shelter, medical treatment, food , clothing and security for 1 child is $25.00 per month.

  • $6000 for wiring and electric lights to supply the Orphanage & School buildings.
  • $8000 towards the plastering, flooring and shuttering of a new Girls' dormitory
  • Medical clinic to treat the children of Destiny.  We thank the Lord our kids general health is relatively good.  From time to time we must tackle Malaria, Typhoid, Mumps, Ring Worm and minor wounds. 
  • Sponsors for the over 300 children that do not currently have one.

Our Partners

  • In 2000, Pastor Randy Speed and River of Glory Church in Plano, Texas purchased the 22 acres that is Destiny Orphanage & Boarding School.  The church sponsors many children and oversees the sponsorship program. 
  • Pastor David Merritt and World Harvest Center of Farmington, New Mexico dedicated Destiny School in February, 2003.  They also purchased the property for Saints Gate Church (the mother church of Destiny Orphanage & Boarding School).  In addition, they sponsor Destiny kids.
  • On January 8, 2004, water finally reached Destiny Orphanage and School.  We thank God for answering this prayer.  Evah and I shouted for joy as the staff and children were screaming and rejoicing.  We would like to thank Earl and Cherry Owens, Russell Owens of Garden City Church in Missoula, Montana and the congregation of Christ Life Church in Tempe, Arizona.
  • Faith Community Church in Tucson, Arizona for the construction of the Faith Block that serves as classrooms.
  • Pastor Brian Smallwood and Grace Center in Franklin, Tennessee for the construction of Grace Block that serves as classrooms and administration.
  • Curtis and Helen Nelson of Gilbert, Arizona for the donation of a tractor.  We have cleared the land using our tractor and will begin planting in March 2005.  This will allow Destiny to grow sweet potatoes, yams and corn for our children and staff.
  • Pastor Matt Gordon and Garden City Church in Missoula, Montana for the construction of Garden City Girls' Dormitory.
  • Living Hope Organization in Texarkana, Arkansas for the construction of Living Hope Boys' Dormitory.  Living Hope dormitory was dedicated on 11/27/04 amidst great applause and praise.
  • Mark and Melissa Bourgeois and Southwest Calvary Baptist Church of Houston, Texas for the construction of the Teachers' House.
  • Pastor Rodney and Kathy Tolleson and Daytona City Church together with Pastor Gary and Danice Duda and New Life Christian Church for the installation of electric poles that will bring electricity to Destiny Orphanage & Boarding School.
